Phase 1: Ideation & Concept Development

We began where every great packaging design journey starts on paper. Our early concepts focused on cradling the product while presenting a refined, tactile outer package

Two distinct directions emerged:
Concept 1
Secure & Elegant
  • Rigid outer box with button-tie closure
  • Layered Opening for a premium unboxing experience
  • Protective foam insert for shock absorption
Concept 2
Luxury & Presentation
  • Multi-layered packaging with an outer shipping box
  • Elegant pyramid-shaped inner box with ribbon closure
  • Fold-out tray mechanism for a dramatic reveal

Client’s Input

Naptik proposed their own custom packaging solution, aligned in aesthetics but flagged in our testing for bulkiness and high dimensional weight. We advised pivoting to Concept 1, blending their visual cues with a streamlined, cost-conscious form.

We advised a return to Concept 1, incorporating key visual elements from their proposal while refining structure and footprint.

Phase 2: Prototyping &
Refinement

Form Testing with Foam Prototypes
We engineered an internal foam model to assess fit, protection, and internal layout. This helped us place cables and adapters efficiently, minimizing unnecessary space key for fast packaging manufacturing and reduced shipping weight.
Material Selection:
We tested eco-conscious substrates to align with the brand’s sustainability ethos, including:
  • Recyclable, biodegradable boards
  • Lightweight rigid boards for efficient logistics
  • Textured, uncoated papers for a tactile finish
Final Decision
Our final pick: A premium-textured wrap that projected sophistication while meeting both eco friendly packaging and budget targets. Branding was intentionally minimal—subtle, yet memorable.
